Applied Arts submissions

Phew! I've been working on these three pieces for quite a while on and off- I did most of the linework last semester but finally decided to finish them so I could submit them to the Applied Arts competition. Here's hoping! This is "The Tale of Krishna and Rukmini", an Indian story about Krishna obtaining one of his thousands of wives.





Edit: Didn't get in to AA this year, looks like I'll just have to try harder next time!

congrats katie,

these are mega strong. your colour palette is simple but nicely balanced - it really brings out the nice detail work you've labored over.

i especially like the middle one - it has the best focus, with our blue friend here.

i see that in the third piece, you used a sunburst to have the figure stand out from the blue. i think there might be a better solution to this...

as it stands you should be very proud of yourself, WE ARE ALL GO GETTERS!
